Saja led the CCWater Sri Lanka Hackathon held at SEUSL

The Faculty of Engineering, South Eastern University of Sri Lanka has recently hosted a #hackathon Sri Lanka 2023 of #CCWater (Climate Change Adapted Water Management) project funded by @Erasmus+ European Union, Project is led by NMBU – NMBU – Norwegian University of Life Sciences.

12 Graduate students from University of Peradeniya Rajarata University of Sri Lanka and South Eastern University of Sri Lanka participated and pitched innovative solutions for water management problems in Sri Lanka. Key themes of the hackathon included: water reuse, water efficiency and water scarcity.

The Hackathon program was held under the leadership of Prof. Harsha Ratnaweera fom NMBU, Norway, the Project Coordinator of the EU Erasmus+ CCWater Project. The final day event was participated by industry panelists from National Water Supply and Drainage Board, Provincial Department of Irrigation, and The Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka Eastern Chapter.
